High Performance Fume HoodsStable Vortex II™The Only 34" Deep High Performance - Low Flow Fume Hood Fume Hoods typically exhaust large volumes of air at great expense. The energy to filter, move, cool or heat this air is one of the biggest energy loads in most lab facilities. Consequently, fume hoods are a major factor in making your laboratory four to five times more energy intensive than a typical commercial space. The Stable Vortex II™ is the ideal solution for both new construction and renovation projects with its simpler design that offers easier and less expensive installation. Benefits of a 34" Deep Fume Hood Include:
High Performance + Safety + Energy Savings = The Stable Vortex II™
DESIGNEvery feature of the LOC High Performance Fume Hood is specifically designed to enhance the overall robustness of the hood. The baffle is designed using Reynolds Numbers to distribute energy required to maintain a Stable Vortex™ and the bell mouth duct collar is designed and positioned for optimum efficiency. The Face opening of the hood has several innovative designs including:
Designed for Safety, all LOC High Performance Fume Hoods come with a full view combination horizontal/vertical sash. Access to the interior wall is provided through panels on the interior side walls and by removing the exterior side panel. Fume hood exhaust flow is quick and easy to adjust. Equipped with an Airflow Probe installed for fume hood exhaust measurement which provides the economy of single point total measurement, but with 10 point accuracy. Airflow volume control system measures the fume and automatically adjusts the baffle airflow volume to maintain the fume hood containment. The baffle airflow volume control system adjusts for environmental and usage conditions such as sash movement, fume hood loading, room pressure fluctuations and cross drafts. The CFM monitor provides an accurate and convenient method of verifying fume hood exhaust volume from the front of the fume hood. Available Bench Top Sizes: Available Walk-In Sizes
