Remote Control Fixtures for Fume Hoods
Remote control valves have forged brass valve bodies for strength and durability. Valves for gas, air, vacuum and special gases are of needle type design with a stainless steel floating cone and replaceable seat. Valves for steam services have a flat Teflon valve disc and stainless steel replaceable seat.

Water service valves have a renewable unit including a stainless steel seat and volume control. All outlet assemblies are furnished with a color coded epoxy acid and solvent resistant coating.

Air Velocity Monitor and Alarms for Fume Hoods
The velocity monitor ensures the face velocity of the fume hood and includes a visual alarm indicator light, audible alarm and a test reset button. Field calibration requires the use of an optional thermal anemometer air flow measuring device.

Fume Hoods - Fume Hood Accessories and Options

Fire Extinguishers: Automatic fire extinguisher units are available for installation and are activated by a fusible link. The link melts at 165°F, opening the valve which releases a multipurpose ABC Dry Chemical.

Vent Kits: Vent kits are used to vent acid or flammable storage cabinets into the fume hood.

Baffle Options: Standard fume hoods are equipped with an adjustable upper baffle only. Other adjustable options are available.

Material Options: The design of the LOC fume hood allows for easy substitution of standard components with optional materials.
